Remember to attend any follow-up appointments at our office to have sutures removed.
DO NOT use your fingers to raise your lips and inspect the treated area.
DO NOT brush your teeth near the site of the surgery, but do brush the rest of your teeth.
If a pink, antibiotic periodontal pack was placed over the site of the surgery, leave it in place as long as possible. If it falls off before your one-week follow-up appointment, visit our office immediately.
DO NOT use mouth wash or antiseptic solutions
Avoid eating large, hot, or sticky foods.
Avoid smoking for at least seven to ten days after the surgery.
If you experience any pain or difficulties, call our office immediately. In an extreme emergency, contact 911.
